Six oil companies and an energy trade group told a judge Thursday that New
Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin is attempting to stretch the
state's tort law "far beyond" any manageable boundaries in attempting to
hold them liable for allegedly misleading Garden State residents about the
climate impacts of fossil fuels.
