The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. is facing fresh Republican scrutiny of
its workplace policies following an agency attorney's guilty plea to child
sexual exploitation charges, a case that U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa
slammed Friday as epitomizing deep "rot" inside the agency that must be
rooted out.
