Wayne LaPierre on Friday announced his intention to step down as CEO of the
National Rifle Association at the end of January, just ahead of a trial set
to begin Monday in the New York attorney general's lawsuit alleging he
spent millions of the pro-gun group's nonprofit dollars on himself.
