Mid-level employees were having fun playing with an AI prototype,
secretly made of experimentees, that was being tested and used for
development by one of the departments.

It would do anything they asked, and they were having fun making
vending machines and small vehicles and weaponry and chairs and
accounting printouts and such ....
... but then somebody made a mistake, and asked for something impossible.

The AI wasn't coded to ever say no, so it went right ahead and made
the impossible thing ...
