A group of Illinois voters filed an objection Thursday urging the state's
Board of Elections to prohibit former President Donald Trump from appearing
as a candidate on the primary and general election ballots, arguing he is
disqualified from holding office under the 14th Amendment because of his
actions leading up to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
