Cryptocurrency software company Consensys Software Inc. sued the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday in Texas federal court over
the agency's treatment of the Ethereum network's ether token as a security
after the company received a so-called Wells notice that agency staff
intends to recommend an enforcement action over its products.
