The Federal Trade Commission won't hesitate to go after companies and their
executives that fail to take steps to address the broad range of privacy
harms and other risks that can arise from the emergence of new digital
technologies, particularly in the wake of a recent federal court ruling
that backed this theory, Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter said
