The US Marshals Service is the enforcement arm of the federal courts. In
addition to protecting judges, tracking down fugitives and running the
witness protection program, among other duties, the USMS manages criminal
assets seized in connection with crimes. This is property used to commit an
offense or acquired by a wrongdoer during the act.
